If you own a Polaris Ranger side-by-side and are looking for an audio system upgrade, drop by Tunes-N-Tint in Lakeland and ask about the Rockford Fosgate RNGR-STAGE4 audio system. Rockford Fosgate has been hard at work on creating amazing audio system upgrades for Polaris off-road vehicles. Their systems are available in different stages to meet various performance and budget levels. Let’s take a look at the solutions that are available for many of the 2015 and newer Ranger midsize, crew and full-size applications.
RNGR-STAGE1 – Source Unit Upgrade
The first upgrade stage for the Ranger is the RNGR-STAGE1. This kit includes a Rockford PMX-2 Digital media receiver, a dash mounting kit, and all the hardware and harnesses we need to install the system in your vehicle. The PMX-2 is a compact AM/FM/WB receiver with a 2.7-inch color LCD screen in an IPX6-rated weather-resistant design. Bluetooth audio streaming, Pandora internet radio, MP3 and WMA file playback support, and a wide variety of audio adjustments make this the perfect source unit for your off-road adventures. The dash kit locates the radio in the center storage pocket of your Ranger.
RNGR-STAGE2 – Source Unit and Speaker Solution
The RNGR-STAGE2 builds on the Stage 1 kit by adding a set of RFRNGR-FSE 6.5-inch lower front speaker pods and a pair of Rockford Fosgate Prime RM1652B speakers. The speaker pods are made from roto-molded plastic and have a durable finish that matches the vehicle. The pods mount on either side of the vehicle, just beneath the dash, and use factory fasteners to secure them in place. The RM1652B speakers feature a weather-resistant coaxial design and have a 75 watt power rating.
RNGR-STAGE3 – Complete Audio System with Amplifier and Subwoofer
Stage 3 is where things start to get fun. The RNGR-STAGE3 adds a TM400X4ad four-channel amplifier and a subwoofer to the Stage 2 kit. A 10-inch RM110D2B Prime-series subwoofer and a dedicated under-seat enclosure bring the system life with deep, clear low-frequency reproduction. The four-channel amplifier is rated to provide the front speakers with up to 100 watts each and 200 watts to the 10-inch subwoofer. Our team of technicians will tune the system to provide amazing output and clarity, even at extreme listening levels. Rockford includes all the power and speaker wire required for us to install the system in your Ranger.
RNGR-STAGE4 – Complete Four-speaker Audio System with Amplifier and Subwoofer
Stage 4 takes your listening experience to the max by adding a set of rear speakers to the Stage 3 system. A set of Rockford RM1652W-MB mini wakeboard tower speaker enclosures and a set of PM-CL3B mounting brackets let us add even more output to your Ranger. The tower pods mount directly to the Polaris Lock & Ride roll cage and ensure your music comes through loud and clear. The TM400X4ad amplifier has no problem providing the system with 400 watts of power.

The TMS69 speakers included in the bag lid kits include a carbon-fiber reinforced polypropylene woofer cone molded to a synthetic rubber surround. A massive 35mm voice coil ensures that the 100-watt power rating is completely realistic. An ultra-efficient 25mm film dome tweeter includes waveguides to help direct the output towards the driver for smooth frequency response.

Tunes-N-Tint started as a mobile installation company in Tampa in 2000. After much initial success, we decided in 2001 that it was time to open a retail facility to provide our clients and staff with a way to experience our products and services before purchasing. We grew quickly and had to find a second location for increased storage.
We have been chosen as one of the Top 50 retailers by Mobile Electronics magazine for 10 years. We have made the Top 12 many times, several of our team members have been on the Top 50 and Top 12 lists for installers, and member of our team was voted as Rookie of the Year by Mobile Electronics magazine in 2016. We also won the coveted Best Store Presentation award in 2015.
