Tunes-N-Tint in Lakeland Florida has been adding Bluetooth sound bars to ATVs, side-by-sides, golf carts and even boats! Now our clients can enjoy their music while having fun. Sound bars are an easy upgrade for almost any application. Let’s look at what makes these unique entertainment solutions so popular.
What are Bluetooth Sound Bars?
A sound bar is much like a center channel speaker for a home theatre system. These bars combine multiple speakers in a horizontal array with a built-in amplifier and a Bluetooth A2DP receiver. All we need to do to add tunes to your ride is mount the bar and wire it to a switched power source. You can pair your smartphone and play music from your phone or a streaming source such as Pandora, Google Play, Apple Music, iHeartRadio or Tidal.
Sound bars like the Wet Sounds Stealth 10 Ultra HD are available in black or white finishes to match the cosmetics of your application. They feature an IP67 water intrusion rating, so you don’t have to worry about them getting wet, dusty or dirty. The Stealth 10 features six three-inch midrange drivers, a pair of tweeters and a 300-watt amplifier. The compact Stealth 6 features four midrange drivers, two tweeters and a 180-watt amplifier. You don’t need anything else to enjoy music on your vehicle.
Wet Sounds includes a wireless RF remote control with the Stealth 10 Ultra HD sound bars. You have complete control from the steering wheel of your side-by-side or at the helm of your boat. If a single sound bar isn’t enough for you, the Wet Sounds bars have a master/slave mode that allows multiple sound bars to be used at the same time, all with a single Bluetooth connection. The audio output connection from the sound bar is compatible with Wet Sounds’ Stealth-series powered subwoofers to make your music sound amazing!
Unlimited Installation Options
If you own an ATV, we can mount the Stealth 6 on the front storage rack or even on your handlebars. In a side-by-side application, we usually mount the bar to the roll cage. If you own a small aluminum or inflatable fishing boat or dingy, we can mount a sound bar underneath a seat so you can enjoy your music while riding the waves.

As with all of the Stage 1 systems Rockford offers for powersport applications, the kit includes one of their PMX-2 element-ready digital media receivers and a custom mounting bezel that bolts to the factory-installed storage pocket in the dash. The PMX-2 includes an AM/FM/WB tuner, a UBS port for an iPhone or USB stick and Bluetooth audio streaming capabilities. A crystal-clear 2.7-inch color display lets you know what is playing
The Stage 2 kit is the starting point for most of our clients. Stage 2 adds a set of Prime Series RM1652B 6.5-inch marine-grade speakers and RFYXZ-FSE front lower speaker enclosures to the Stage 1 system. The speaker enclosures are constructed from a dense fiberglass-reinforced polymer plastic and feature a UV resistant finish. The pods mount in the footwells but are up off the floor to help keep them clean and still provide lots of space for your feet.
When it’s time to enjoy your music, adding a subwoofer not only improves bass response but eases the load on your midrange speakers. The Stage 3 kit adds a four-channel TM400X4ad amplifier, an RFYXZ-FEW subwoofer enclosure and a Prime 10-inch marine-grade subwoofer to the Stage 2 kit.
Stage 4 turns up the volume a little more with the addition of a set of the Rockford Fosgate RM1652W-MB Mini Wakeboard Tower Speaker enclosures. The enclosures house a second set of RM1652B 6.5-inch coaxial speakers in a durable, high-density polyethylene enclosure. The speaker enclosures mount to the roll bar and place the speakers behind the driver’s and passenger’s heads. The four-channel amp in the Stage 3 and Stage 4 kit has no problem powering all four speakers and the subwoofer.
The Stage 5 kit is very similar to Stage 4, but replaces the rear speaker pods with a set of upper front speaker pods. The pods mount on either side of the dash and include a second set of Prime RM1652B coaxial speakers. Everything else in the system is the same as Stage 4.
If you own a Can-Am Maverick X3 and are looking for an amazing audio system, drop by Tunes-N-Tint in Lakeland and check out the Rockford Fosgate X3 Stage5 audio system package.
At the heart of any entertainment system is a great source unit. Rockford took its marine-ready PMX-2 digital media receiver and created a custom mounting bezel specifically designed for the X3. The PMX-2 includes an AM/FM/weather band receiver, Bluetooth audio streaming with AVRCP remote control and a stereo auxiliary input. The PMX-2 can withstand water, dust and dirt, thanks to its Element-Ready design.
The X3-STAGE2 kit adds a set of speakers and enclosures to the X3-STAGE1 kit. Speakers make Stage 2 the perfect starting point for off-road enthusiasts who want to enjoy their favorite music while on the trails or in the dunes. The Stage 2 kit includes a set of RFX3-FSE roto-molded speaker enclosures that fit on top of the X3 dash and mount using factory fastener locations. Rockford includes a set of its Prime series RM1652 coaxial speakers, which can handle all the water, dust and dirt you can sling at them without any problem. The X3-STAGE2 kit includes direct-connect wiring harnesses to save our installers time while they’re installing your upgrade.
Anyone who has added an amp and sub to their car or truck knows that it makes a huge difference in the sound of their music. The X3-STAGE3 kit adds a Power series TM400X4ad four-channel amplifier, an RM110D2B marine-grade subwoofer and Rockford’s RFX3-FWED subwoofer enclosure. The enclosure bolts under the driver’s seat using factory fasteners.
More is better, right? If you think the way we do, then the X3-STAGE4 kit might be the perfect solution for your Can-Am side-by-side. Rockford adds a set of its cool little Prime series mini tower speaker enclosures and a set of custom mounting brackets to the contents of the Stage 3 kit. The speaker cans mount to the roll cage behind the driver’s and passenger’s seats to wrap music around you while you’re having fun. The Power series four-channel amp has no problem driving the four speakers and subwoofer.
Rockford knows that too much is just right when it comes to music. The Rockford Fosgate X3 Stage5 system starts by upgrading the speakers to Punch PM2652B models to handle the additional power provided by the monster Power series TM1000X5ad five-channel amplifier. To keep up with these new speakers and an impressive 100 watts per channel, Stage 5 includes a second subwoofer enclosure for the passenger side of the vehicle. The new amp can produce up to 600 watts on the subwoofer channel, so having enough bass won’t ever be a problem.
