Tunes-N-Tint Can Add Extra Charging Ports In Your Car

April 18, 2018 By Staff

Charging-Ports-1 Tunes-N-Tint Can Add Extra Charging Ports In Your Car Tunes-N-Tint in Lakeland, Florida knows that we don’t always have enough charging ports for the USB devices we take on the road. Europeans make fun of North American vehicles for the number of cup holders we have. How come we don’t have USB ports for each seat? If you feel our pain, don’t fret! We have several options to add as many high-current USB charging locations you could ever want.

Panel Mount USB Charging Ports

Do your kids have tablets or smartphones? Do they play Minecraft, Angry Birds or Fortnite for hours on end? Do they need a way to keep their devices charged while on a road trip? We can add USB charging ports to the back of the center console to keep those devices humming along nicely. We can even add USB ports to the third row of SUVs, usually installing them in the side panels or tucked neatly away underneath the seats.

Charging-Ports-300x201 Tunes-N-Tint Can Add Extra Charging Ports In Your Car In the front seat, an extra charging location for your phone frees up the cigarette lighting socket for a portable GPS or a radar detector. If your better half wants a USB port for themselves, we can add that too! Our sales team will work with you to understand how you use your vehicle. We’ll work with you to figure out where we should install the upgrades. This will help you maximize your efficiency when behind the wheel. Inside the center console or the glove box are popular locations for an extra USB port.

USB Extensions

If you have an aftermarket radio, sometimes the USB connections on the back of the radio aren’t long enough. We offer USB extensions in 12, 36 and 72-inch lengths to make sure you can use your radio the way you want. As always, our team will mount the jack where you want it, and we always test everything we install to make sure it works perfectly.

Expert Installation

Whether we are repurposing a cigarette lighting socket as USB port, or making a custom panel for multiple charging locations, the installation team at Tunes-N-Tint ensures that every wire connection is mechanically secure and properly protected. All wiring is carefully hidden out of sight. Your car, truck or SUV is kept immaculate all the time it is in our possession. We respect our client’s vehicles, and we take pride in our work.

Upgrade your Vehicle Today!

From an extra USB port, to a custom sound system or premium window tint, Tunes-N-Tint in Lakeland is the premier automotive enhancement location in Polk County. Sound On The Go with Bluetooth Sound Bars

April 17, 2018 By Staff

Bluetooth-Sound-Bars-2 Sound On The Go with Bluetooth Sound Bars Tunes-N-Tint in Lakeland Florida has been adding Bluetooth sound bars to ATVs, side-by-sides, golf carts and even boats! Now our clients can enjoy their music while having fun. Sound bars are an easy upgrade for almost any application. Let’s look at what makes these unique entertainment solutions so popular.

What are Bluetooth Sound Bars?

Bluetooth-Sound-Bars-3-300x68 Sound On The Go with Bluetooth Sound Bars A sound bar is much like a center channel speaker for a home theatre system. These bars combine multiple speakers in a horizontal array with a built-in amplifier and a Bluetooth A2DP receiver. All we need to do to add tunes to your ride is mount the bar and wire it to a switched power source. You can pair your smartphone and play music from your phone or a streaming source such as Pandora, Google Play, Apple Music, iHeartRadio or Tidal.

Sound bars like the Wet Sounds Stealth 10 Ultra HD are available in black or white finishes to match the cosmetics of your application. They feature an IP67 water intrusion rating, so you don’t have to worry about them getting wet, dusty or dirty. The Stealth 10 features six three-inch midrange drivers, a pair of tweeters and a 300-watt amplifier. The compact Stealth 6 features four midrange drivers, two tweeters and a 180-watt amplifier. You don’t need anything else to enjoy music on your vehicle.

Bluetooth-Sound-Bars-1-245x300 Sound On The Go with Bluetooth Sound Bars Wet Sounds includes a wireless RF remote control with the Stealth 10 Ultra HD sound bars. You have complete control from the steering wheel of your side-by-side or at the helm of your boat. If a single sound bar isn’t enough for you, the Wet Sounds bars have a master/slave mode that allows multiple sound bars to be used at the same time, all with a single Bluetooth connection. The audio output connection from the sound bar is compatible with Wet Sounds’ Stealth-series powered subwoofers to make your music sound amazing!

Unlimited Installation Options

If you own an ATV, we can mount the Stealth 6 on the front storage rack or even on your handlebars. In a side-by-side application, we usually mount the bar to the roll cage. If you own a small aluminum or inflatable fishing boat or dingy, we can mount a sound bar underneath a seat so you can enjoy your music while riding the waves.

Add Music to Your Life at Tunes-N-Tint

No matter what kind of recreational vehicle you own, the team at Tunes-N-Tint have an audio solution that will make your fun time even more enjoyable. From a motorcycle or ATV to a boat or your RV, our Bluetooth Sound Bars are the perfect way to add music. Seven Key Areas for Paint Protection Film on Your Car

April 14, 2018 By Staff

Paint-Protection-Film-2-e1523690415137 Seven Key Areas for Paint Protection Film on Your Car Paint protection film from Tunes-N-Tint in Lakeland, Florida, is a great way to keep your car or truck looking like new. Most people think of these films as a clear bra or chip protection for their bumper. While those are popular applications, we look at how people use their vehicles day-to-day and have some unique suggestions for coverage areas. Read on to learn about our top seven key areas to protect.

What is Paint Protection Film?

Paint-Protection-Film-1-300x180 Seven Key Areas for Paint Protection Film on Your Car Protective films are a layer of translucent polyurethane that we can apply over any painted surface on your vehicle. The film absorbs energy from stones, gravel and sand to prevent chips and scratches. The film resists damage from chemicals like bird droppings as well. Finally, the self-healing properties of the film make tiny scratches and swirl marks simply disappear.

1. Door Edges

If there is any surface that is going to take a beating, it’s the edge of your doors. Every time you park near a wall or another vehicle, you run the risk of a strong breeze catching your door and pulling it into a solid object. Protection film will keep the door edge looking great when accidents happen.

2. Door Cups

Ladies, do you your rings scratch the area behind the door handle? This location is one of the worst for scuffs and scratches. Proper application of protective film serves as an amazingly strong barrier against scratches from rings, car keys or long fingernails.

3. A-Pillars and Rear View Mirrors

Stones and debris are notorious for chipping your front bumper and the leading edge of your hood. But what about the A-pillars and the forward-facing side of your rearview mirrors? That painted area on either side of your windshield and your mirrors is as susceptible to damage.

4. Fenders

Parking lots and inattentive shoppers can wreak havoc on your car. But what about the technicians changing your oil or making repairs to your vehicle? Protecting your car’s fenders with paint protection film can help prevent scratches from shopping carts, people walking past your vehicle carrying groceries or damage from buckles and zippers on technicians’ clothing.

5. The Roof

One of the largest painted surfaces of your vehicle is the roof. Damage from tree sap and bird droppings can be costly to repair. Protecting your vehicle’s roof is another great way to keep your car, truck or SUV looking like new.

6 Door and Trunk Thresholds

Do you occasionally drag your feet while getting into your car or truck? What about while loading or unloading your trunk? Our protective films can easily cover these high-traffic areas and keep them in tip-top shape.

7. Hood and Trunk

Paint-Protection-Film-3-300x153 Seven Key Areas for Paint Protection Film on Your Car When you are driving, gravel, sand and stones thrown up by other vehicles can damage the paint on the leading edge of your hood. When your car is sitting still, tree sap, bird droppings and even prolonged exposure to the sun can damage any of the horizontal surfaces of your vehicle.

Chevy-Silverado-Accessories-1-150x150 Lakeland Client Gets Upgraded Chevy Silverado Accessories

A client from here in Lakeland recently visited Tunes-N-Tint in search of some accessories for his 2017 Chevy Silverado. He wanted to add much-larger tires and new wheels, and have a suspension lift kit installed. We had a look at the client’s truck and discussed where and how he was going to use the vehicle. Once we had an idea of his goals, we started looking through our wheel catalogs so he could pick a design he liked.

The client chose a set of Fuel D610 Maverick wheels sized at 20 by 10 inches. We suggested a set of 33-inch–tall Fuel Gripper A/T tires to provide good road manners and traction when he goes off-road.

The provide adequate clearance for the new wheel and tire combination, we installed a Rough Country 247.23 5-inch lift kit and a set of Rough Country N2.o struts. The lift kit gives the truck a much more aggressive stance and levels the ride height for a tidy look.

If you are in the market for new wheels and tires or a lift kit, drop by Tunes-N-Tint and speak with a member of our sales team. You can also reach us by e-mail using our contact page.
