Lakeland Client Gets Upgraded Chevy Silverado Accessories

A client from here in Lakeland recently visited Tunes-N-Tint in search of some accessories for his 2017 Chevy Silverado. He wanted to add much-larger tires and new wheels, and have a suspension lift kit installed. We had a look at the client’s truck and discussed where and how he was going to use the vehicle. Once we had an idea of his goals, we started looking through our wheel catalogs so he could pick a design he liked.

The client chose a set of Fuel D610 Maverick wheels sized at 20 by 10 inches. We suggested a set of 33-inch–tall Fuel Gripper A/T tires to provide good road manners and traction when he goes off-road.

The provide adequate clearance for the new wheel and tire combination, we installed a Rough Country 247.23 5-inch lift kit and a set of Rough Country N2.o struts. The lift kit gives the truck a much more aggressive stance and levels the ride height for a tidy look.

High-Output LED Light Bar

The Nuclear Series of light bars features a blacked-out design with the trim around the reflectors finished in matte black paint. The cast aluminum chassis and durable front lens feature an IP68 waterproof rating.

Dual-Row Application-Specific Solutions

The light bars are available in two configurations. Roof mount kits for Ford, Toyota, Chevy/GMC and Nissan vehicles include a curved 50- or 55-inch bar with as many as 96 individual LEDs and up to 312 Watts. That’s more than 30,000 lumens of light output!

Tampa Client Gets Custom Chevy Malibu Stereo System

A client from Tampa came to Tunes-N-Tint in Lakeland for a 2011 Chevy Malibu stereo system. We talked to the customer about how he liked to listen to his music and the style of music he enjoys. It quickly became apparent that we were going to have to build something unique to meet the client’s needs.

Custom Door Panels

: The whole bottom portion of the door panel was rebuilt. Triangle accents add some flair.

: Our laser allowed for the precision engraving on the acrylic insert.

For the system to get as loud as the customer wanted, we devised a plan to use three sets of Rockford Fosgate P16-S components. To make the speakers fit, our fabrication team designed and created a set of custom door panels to replace the lower portion of the door trim. We used the grilles that came with the speakers to protect them when people get and out of the vehicle.

The panel includes an acrylic plastic insert at the rear of the door with the Rockford RF logo engraved in it. We did the engraving in-house with our laser. We wrapped the new door panel with black vinyl and mounted the tweeters from the component sets in the top portion of the door, above the door handle. We also mounted a set of T1692 6×9-inch speakers in the rear factory locations to fill out the sound of the system.

: The parts our team fabricated were carpeted in a matching carpet to give a factory upgrade look.

: Additional lighting was used in the trunk to highlight the back part of the build.

We constructed a vented enclosure for a pair of 12-inch Rockford Fosgate P3D2-12 subwoofers. The subs fire into the trunk and are trimmed in a carpeted panel that extends to the edge of the trunk. We created a second trim panel for the floor of the trunk and included a Chevy bowtie in the center of the panel for a little extra flair.

Purple is just one of the virtually unlimited colors available for accent.

We installed a Kenwood DNX893S in the dash – a double-DIN multimedia receiver with a 6.95-inch touch-panel display. The unit features both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, so the client can stay in contact with his family and friends by phone or text messaging without taking his eyes off the road.

The Kenwood eXcelon receiver feeds audio to a 1,500 watt Rockford Fosgate T1500-1bdCP amplifier.

The last touch was to install a Racesport RSI-Kit interior LED kit and audio controller. The lighting color and pattern follows the beat of the music to illuminate the interior.

Repeat Lakeland Client Adds Chevy Camaro Graphics Package

One of our regular clients from Lakeland, Florida, dropped in at Tunes-N-Tint to inquire about having some graphics work done on her 2014 Chevy Camaro. We talked to the client about what she wanted to add to the car and made a few simple sketches to help illustrate our understanding of her plan.

We started with a long body graphic that extends from the headlights to the back of the door. we accentuated the cowl shape of the hood with matching matte black vinyl. We installed red SS logo and a green Camaro and Chevy badge to the ground effects panel under the door.

The fog lights and tail lights received more matte black vinyl, but this time, we used our vinyl plotter to cut out a shark pattern for the fog lights and lettering for the tails.

The highlight of the project was a set of shark teeth for the lower air intake. We finished each tooth with 3M carbon fiber vinyl. We also created a bowtie for under the hood and wrapped it in green vinyl.

The client loved the changes to her car!
