Lakeland Client Adds Security with Honda Accord Car Alarm

A client from Lakeland drop by Tunes-N-Tint to ask about a car alarm system for his 1993 Honda Accord. The client had added a few unique accessories to the vehicle and wanted a security system to protect them from being stolen. We showed the client one of the Viper car alarm systems we carry. We explained how the two-stage shock sensor would alert anyone who touched the vehicle that it had an alarm. He liked the plan and gave us the go-ahead to schedule the installation.

The Viper 3105V Security System includes a pair of one-way remote controls offering up to 1,500 feet of range. We integrated the system into the factory power door lock system so the doors will lock when the alarm is armed and unlock when it is disarmed.

Lakeland Client Gets Upgraded Chevy Silverado Accessories

A client from here in Lakeland recently visited Tunes-N-Tint in search of some accessories for his 2017 Chevy Silverado. He wanted to add much-larger tires and new wheels, and have a suspension lift kit installed. We had a look at the client’s truck and discussed where and how he was going to use the vehicle. Once we had an idea of his goals, we started looking through our wheel catalogs so he could pick a design he liked.

The client chose a set of Fuel D610 Maverick wheels sized at 20 by 10 inches. We suggested a set of 33-inch–tall Fuel Gripper A/T tires to provide good road manners and traction when he goes off-road.

The provide adequate clearance for the new wheel and tire combination, we installed a Rough Country 247.23 5-inch lift kit and a set of Rough Country N2.o struts. The lift kit gives the truck a much more aggressive stance and levels the ride height for a tidy look.

1995 Ford F-350 Stereo Upgrade for Lakeland Client

At the suggestion of a friend, the owner of this cool 1995 Ford F-350 dropped by Tunes-N-Tint to inquire about improving the sound of his stereo system. After talking to the client about how he enjoys his music and having a look at his truck, we suggested that adding a high-quality amplifier and a subwoofer would provide the performance improvement he was after.

Our team installed a JL Audio RD900/5 amplifier on the back wall of the truck. The four main channels of the amp provide up to 70 watts of power to the front and rear speakers, while the dedicated subwoofer channel can pump out an impressive 500 watts for bass. A JL Audio CS110TG-W3 Truck PowerWedge subwoofer system fits nicely against the back wall.

We used a MESA AKC4 four-gauge copper power kit to feed power from the battery to the amplifier. Once everything was installed, our team set the sensitivity controls and crossovers for the amp to provide a balanced, but fun, overall sound from the system.

Safer Driving for Lakeland Client with Mazda 3 Dash Camera Installation

A client from here in Lakeland dropped by Tunes-N-Tint to inquire about a dash camera solution for his 2017 Mazda 3 hatchback. After talking to the client about what he wanted the camera to record, we suggested that the Kenwood DRV-410 would be a perfect solution. He liked the plan, so we scheduled an appointment to do the installation.

Our team mounted the dashcam to the housing behind the rearview mirror and aligned it so it would have a clean and even view out the front of the car. The camera starts recording as soon as the ignition is turned on and includes GPS location and speed information. An integrated three-axis accelerometer can trigger an event recording when the camera detects sudden changes. All of the videos are stored on a microSD card, so it’s easy to view them on almost any computer.
