2008 PT Cruiser Stereo System Troubleshooting for Lakeland Client

A repeat client from Lakeland, FL, brought his PT Cruiser in for some troubleshooting. Before he found out about Tunes-N-Tint, he had another shop work on his vehicles. Luckily he found us a few years back and now he brings all his vehicles to us. We didn’t do the original work, but he’s tasked us with cleaning it up, eliminating engine noise and replacing some older equipment.

After doing some electrical troubleshooting and acoustical diagnostics, we determined he had a bad channel on his amplifier and some stretched audio interconnects. We replaced both amplifiers as the customer wanted to make sure he had a matching set for appearance reasons. We built a new amp rack and trim board to give it a clean, custom look matching what was already in the vehicle. Of course, we also replaced the RCA cable with some of our premium twisted-pair interconnects.

This was a quick half a day’s worth of work, but the client was thrilled. No more high-pitched whine in his sound system and with the new amplifiers, it rocks like it never did before.
